Cruzy and the Minervois area
Located in the heart of the lush wine growing region of the Minervois, the medieval village of Cruzy has changed little over time. The main attraction of the village is the Eglise Sainte Eulalie church constructed in the XVe century as well as the Cruzy Museum which houses dinosaur fossils as well as archaeological discoveries.

Formerly an ancient “Forgerie” (blacksmith’s shop), this 3-story Maison de Village was lovingly refurbished and done to architectural specifications. It has around 145 square meters of livable space plus a gorgeous roof terrace which is 55 square meters in size.
The light-filled 3rd story dining room/salon area has an open airy feeling with 3 large windows overlooking the “La Place” below. Here we can watch the winemakers with tractors loaded with grapes and, of course, it’s wonderfully convenient to head to our weekly local market. A fully-fitted kitchen completes this story
Designed by an architect from South Africa, you’ll notice double-glazed windows and attention to detail. As your descend to the 2nd floor, there is a built-in bookcase and custom as well as terra cotta tiles on the stairwell. Below you will find 2 bedrooms and a full bath. On the first floor is a 3rd bedroom with adjoining bath as well as a garage.
A 1/9th share entitles you to 3 weeks of high season (April- October) and 3 weeks of low season (November-March) use each year. Running costs are equally split among the owners with the exception of the house manager who foregoes dues in exchange for managing the property. Dues typically average around 900 euros/year. Crazy for Cruzy uses a rotational calendar for its booking system.
”I really like all the medieval sites around Cruzy, especially the Cathars. Also, all the vendors that inhabit our square on a rotating, regular basis: fish monger, the rotisserie chicken fellow. We can buy everything from thread to bottle stoppers. Also we’re fortunate to have an amazing bakery just round the corner and a great butcher shop just as close. It’s an easy day trip to the ocean or to visit many small towns, castles, and abbeys.
