The Area

Vers Pont du Gard has all the charm one would hope for in a Gard/Provencal village and full of life throughout the year; the chimes of l’Eglise Saint Pierre, a bakery, a tabac, a pizzeria and a small grocery store, all within a short walk of the property. The lively wine bar La Grange is right around the corner with live music on the weeks while another bar/restaurant, Les Voutes is nearby.
With its proximity to Uzes (12 minutes) and to Avignon (30 minutes), this is a great year-round destination village. You will also find the local festivals charming; the Asparagus festival and the Fete Votive to name a few.
Only 3 km from the famous Roman aqueduct, the Pont du Gard, the stone quarries of Vers were the source for the foundation of the Pont du Gard and you will find the orange-ochre limestone which has been quarried since medieval times, throughout the village.

If it has been your dream to live in a charmingly renovated historic property in a prime location near Uzes and the Pont du Gard, then you have come to the right place. The current owner group lovingly refer to Le Muguet (Lily of the Valley) as “our castle”. With its vaulted ceilings and carefully researched period details, this fully restored home in Vers Pont du Gard was built from an ancient monastery.

A 1/13th share entitles you to 4 weeks of use each year. Running costs are equally split among the owners with the exception of the house manager who foregoes dues in exchange for managing the property. Dues typically average around 900 euros/year and includes all of the house expenses for the year (taxes, utilities, and a contingency fund). Le Muguet uses a rotational calendar for its booking system.
